One of my neighbors is a beekeeper. Today I saw some hives out front--or pieces of hives--not an unusual sight. I have a lot of space in my yard and have volunteered the space if she ever needs it. I think keeping bees is cool. I try never to use pesticide (if I have to use pesticide) that is unfriendly to bees.
I love this way of filling the flower box, don't you? (Added bonus--no maintenance!)
Of course, there is something just knock-out lovely in real blossoms. Especially these first of the season sort.
This post, as you see has no real rhyme or reason. Just a collection of things I saw here and there that made me smile. Here is the side fabulous Fox theatre. It was supposed to be a temple, but the money to build it ran short, and so it was change to a theatre. I love the juxtaposition here of onion dome and minaret with the traffic light. (Ooo--and I love that mini-cooper too. Note the pedestrian in shorts. That's "hotlanta" for you. Long sleeves and shorts. This is a town where no one ever really put away his short pants.)
